Paul Daugerdas

Paul Daugerdas is a distinguished consultant, attorney, and certified public accountant from Wilmette, Illinois, known for his substantial financial, legal, and accounting contributions. His career is complemented by a deep commitment to philanthropy, which has significantly impacted various charitable organizations. Paul's pursuit of excellence in education began with his graduation with honors from St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, in 1968. He then advanced his studies at DePaul University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors in 1972. That same year, he obtained his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois. He continued to distinguish himself academically by earning a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from DePaul University's College of Law in 1974. Daugerdas's professional journey started at Arthur Andersen & Co., where he advanced from a staff member to a partner by 1984. From 1974 to 1994, his tenure included roles such as a member of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team and Head of the Central Region Financial Markets Team. He also led the Chicago Office "On Call" Team and was a member of the Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team. In 1994, Paul joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner and head of the Tax Department. He later moved to Jenkens & Gilchrist, where, from 1999 to 2002, he served as a Shareholder/Partner, managed the Chicago office, co-directed the Tax Practice, and was part of the Management Advisory Committee. In 2003, he took on a new role as a consultant and managing director at Treasurex Financial, lending his expertise there until 2014. Paul Daugerdas's philanthropic efforts are noteworthy, particularly his involvement with The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, where he served as Chairman and President in 2002 and 2003. From 1996 to 2008, he also held positions as a Board Member, Treasurer, Finance Committee Member, and Wish Granter. His commitment to charity extends beyond Make-A-Wish, as he has supported various other charities, including museums and civic organizations, since the mid-1970s.
